The name is so interesting. It is called Chandrakala or Suryakala and named after the shape.. Surya means the Sun and Chandra relates to the Moon.. Looks like you can now relate to Chandrakala-Suryakala better. By the way the sweets’ origin is in Bihar but is very famous in all sweet stalls.
We have given it a healthy twist by replacing maida with Kadalamaavu or Besan Flour. Inner stuffing is yummy A2 Paalkova, cashews & badam.
